About Us

The Bahamas Light Industries development Council (BLIDC) is an organization that was formed by and for Bahamian Manufacturers and Producers.  Our primary objectives are to promote and expand, and to preserve and protect light industries operating in the Bahamas.  We work to provide policy direction for the Light Industries to the government

The BLIDC was formed and began meeting on an ad-hoc basis from 1978, and formally since 1980 when officers and councilors were elected.  The BLIDC was formally registered in 2013.
